While many of us our fortunate to be surrounded by a loving family, in a home that keeps us warm or cool, and a stocked pantry to prepare and enjoy meals. However, not everyone has that luxury and the ones that suffer the most are the children. During the holiday season, the Toys for Tots program ensures that each and every child in need, will receive a toy. We, at Nathan Fitts & Team, believe in this mission and are proudly accepting unwrapped toy donations at our office located at 3354 East First Street in Blue Ridge. Why do we feel so passionately about this program? Kids are kids and they only need to worry about being a kid. Toys stimulate the imagination when children play pretend. Toys can be used as a learning tool, whether its developing motor skills, learning about cause and effect or improving hand-eye coordination. Most importantly, toys bring joy to children and every child should feel happy and joyful. Now, we’re not talking about children in big metropolitan cities across the nation, we’re talking about families in need right here in our community. Remember when you were little and couldn’t wait to get the barbie doll or toy truck that you asked Santa to bring you? Remember the joy you felt when you unwrapped exactly what you asked for and didn’t even care about the rest of gifts under the tree?
