Rodeo Time 2019!

Saddle up for family fun! It’s Rodeo Time in Blue Ridge, Georgia! The 23rd annual Kiwanis Rodeo kicks off on Friday, August 16th & continues on Saturday, August 17th. If you’ve never been to a rodeo, you just don’t know how much fun you are missing. Besides the traditional events like Bareback Riding, Bronco Riding, Barrel Racing, Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping and Bull Riding, there are tons of activities for the kiddos to enjoy. The whole family will delight in the antics of rodeo clown Rob Gann, as well as participating in calf scrambles and wild wheelbarrow races! Located at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds, free parking shuttles are available to the event from the Fannin County Middle School courtesy of ETC. The gates open at 6pm and the rodeo starts at 8pm. Sponsored by Mountain Valley Motors, the Boot Toss will give a chance for 5 lucky attendees to win $100 cash or a 2019 4×4 Dodge RAM! Rodeo admission tickets bought in advance are $12 and tickets bought at the gate are $15. Children 8 & under get in FREE with a paying adult. In the words of Garth Brooks’: “It’s bulls and blood. It’s dust and mud. It’s the roar of a Sunday crowd. It’s the white in his knuckles. The gold in the buckle. He’ll win the next go ’round. It’s boots and chaps. It’s cowboy hats. It’s spurs and latigo. It’s the ropes and the reins and the joy and the pain. And they call the thing rodeo.” Now that this song is stuck in your head, go ahead and get your tickets for the Blue Ridge Kiwanis Rodeo! There are so many great experiences and events that occur regularly in and around the Blue Ridge area. Isn’t it time to make North Georgia your home?
